If you’re a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.

You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.

If you already use www.patientaccess.com you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.

Out of area registration scheme

The out of area registration scheme launched by the government is voluntary and this practice has chosen to participate in this scheme. This means we are  able to register patients living outside our catchment area, however this is discretionary and may not be appropriate for all patients. Please speak to one of our receptionists for more information

Other Services

 

One Stop Clinic - these clinics are for our patients with multiple long-term chronic conditions. If you are a patient that fits this catergory you will be invited to attend a pre booked appointment where you will see the nurse followed by a pre booked appointment with the GP. During your appointment the nurse will carry out a thorough review of all of your conditions and the doctor will follow on to discuss any concerns you may have and carry out a review of all your medication.

Child Development & Immunisation Clinic - Tuesday 13:50 – 16:00 for children under 5. By appointment only, for immunisation and child health checks, please telephone reception on 020 8491 3310.

Maternity/Pregnancy - all the doctors carry out antenatal and postnatal care in conjunction with the midwife. If you think you are pregnant, Please make an appointment to see the doctor who will then start the booking process. Please refer to our practice Pregnancy_Leaflet.pdf and also to the pregnancy care planner on this website. If you have any concerns regarding your pregnancy see the doctor or midwife.

Contraception - all doctors offer contraceptive services. Should you require any contraception, from "the pill" to sterilisation (including vasectomy), please arrange to see the doctor. It is important that all women taking the contraceptive pill see the nurse at least every 6 months for acontraceptive review which may include a blood pressure check. It is your responsibilty to ensure that you make your appointment in plenty of time so that you do not run out of your pill. If you have any questions or concerns, please make an appointment with the doctor or nurse.

Please note the contraceptive pill is not a routine repeat prescription and you must be seen.

blood_takingPhlebotomy - every Monday and Friday a phlebotomist from King George Hospital, Ilford attends the surgery to take blood samples. Bookings for this are by appointment only and can be booked by calling 0208 491 3310. Alternatively you can attend Wanstead Hospital which holds a session every day from 08:00-13:30 walk in service.

Minor Surgery - the practice also carries out minor surgery and joint injections. If you would like to arrange such a treatment, please make an appointment with a doctor so we can fully assess the problem first and book the appropriate amount of time.

Health Checks - we encourage and offer patients to have health checks as follows:

  • NHS health Checks - these are for patients aged 40-74 please check with reception to see if you are eligible.
  • Patients over the age of 75 - once a year unless you are being seen regularly.
  • All patients - every 3 years if you have not been seen for another reason.

Post Operative Wound Care

This surgery provides a post-operative care service for registered and temporarily registered patients who need to have sutures removed and general wound care following a hospital day case or inpatient procedure. Please book an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
